House Spirits “Uchi no Kami” Shochu Release Party Extravaganza!

We love any opportunity to work with the really amazing people at House Spirits (distillers of the popular Aviation Gin, Medoyeff Vodka, and more), but have more-or-less completely uncontained excitement about this new project. The culmination of a years worth of conversations and work with House Spirits and SakeOne, “Uchi no Kami” is a fantastic shochu (a Japanese style of distilled spirit) made in our neighborhood from sake brewed at SakeOne! We’ve been waiting for this for what feels like forever…

Saturday October 24th:  The release of “Uchi no Kami,” East Portland Shochu!!!

Join us at Biwa from 4:00 until 6:00 for a special reception, featuring cocktails showcasing the new shochu, as well as sake from SakeOne, and open to the public.

Following the reception, at 6:30 we will be offering a very special dinner pairing Will Harper’s amazing looking menu with variations on “Uchi no Kami.” Seating is extremely limited for the dinner, and reservations are required. The five-course dinner is $65/ person, and includes pairings for each course.

We will be open for our regular dinner service at 6:30, and will be offering specials featuring “Uchi no Kami,” as well as the chance to talk with the people behind it.

“Uchi no Kami” will also be available for sale from noon until 4:00 at the House Spirits Apothecary at 2025 SE 7th Avenue
