New Year’s Eve at Biwa

imageIn celebration of the beginning of a new year, we have again put together a very special kaiseki-style menu of dishes that we hope will provide for an auspicious transition from this year into the next. We are all real excited about this year’s menu (and painstakingly-selected, coursed sake pairing!), and hope very much that you will join us for this special evening!

Sashimi

rice cooked with oysters

grilled pork with kimchi
minato yamahai namazake genshu

Nimono
butterfish simmered with daikon and sake
chikurin karoyaka junmai ginjo

Toshikoshi Soba
chilled buckwheat noodles for prosperity in the new year
towari honkaku shochu

Kuri
chestnut cake with sweet red bean
